“Work from home” Mother’s Day Give Away

25 Apr 2012 41 Comments

This Give Away is now closed, thank you to everyone who entered, I really enjoyed seeing all your photos! I have emailed the winner and will announce tomorrow here on my Blog and on Facebook.

To begin with as it’s ANZAC Day, I’ll take a moment to remember our war hero’s, those who returned and those who never came home.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

And now the good stuff! It’s coming up Mother’s Day (Sunday 13th May), and I’d imagine nearly all of my followers are either a Mother themselves, or HAVE a Mother and I’d like to pay homage.

Whether we get paid for working from home or the love that is returned from our families is all our reward for our daily hard work I’d love you share your photos of you doing so. Post a photo on my Facebook Wall of you working from home and leave a comment below. My favourite entry will receive a block of Whittaker’s Dark Peppermint Ghana big enough to be fit for a king (kings sized block in other words) as your reward. I’ll do the draw Wednesday the 9th of May to make sure it get’s to you on time to enjoy on Sunday Morning. If you are entering on behalf of your Mother, please do make sure you do your best to share said chocolate with her ;-)

I am going to be adding a few extra things to the prize now, so I’ll upload a photo of the other things when I have gathered them. Firstly I have decided to include the Mystery package I got from Off The Back. I purchased before Christmas with the thought of wrapping it up as a surprise present for myself for xmas but in true tradition of me promptly forgot about it, and that’s where I found it last week, sitting in the back of my wardrobe still unopened in its courier bag! How awesome is that, it could be something worth $10, or something much more exciting. The winner will have to tell me what it is when they open it!

NZ only please :)   If you are overseas it shall have to be a virtual chocolatey reward. I’d love it if you could also ‘like’ my Facebook page, not a required step, but appreciated. :)

This give a way is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, it is run primarily on here, I’d love to see your photos on my Facebook wall, but I know not all of you are on Facebook so if not let me know below (or you can email them too me at emily {at} designem.co.nz. I will contact the winner directly using the email address supplied when you leave a comment on this post, and good luck!

uhoh! Yes, this is why I try to do the following = cook cakes in ramekins and freeze the majority and only bake if I am going to be leaving the house with it. I have NO will power, it it’s in the cupboard I’ll keep going back until it’s allllll gone.

Good reason to make some more, so Nana and Granny are getting some home baking in quantities that hopefully won’t send them in to a diabetic coma on Sunday:-) How did the banana cake come out?

Hi Louise, I can’t seem to find your photo on my Facebook wall either, perhaps Facebook swallowed it? I have an Autistic Brother and Mother, so I have an inkling to how fun your Days must be! I really love the affordable jewellery you are selling on TM :)
